Felicity the Frog Crochet Pattern (Free!)
Welcome back to another delightful crochet project! Today, we have an absolutely adorable and wonderfully hoppy pattern for you: a Crochet Frog! If you love crafting charming amphibians that add a touch of whimsy and nature to your collection, this enchanting and totally unique little frog is going to be your next favorite make.
This pattern is wonderfully adaptable and perfect for market prep, allowing you to whip up cute and cuddly items in record time. While the instructions are tailored for their classic, mini size, you can easily adjust the size variations depending on the yarn used—swap out worsted weight for super bulky blanket yarn to create a massive, huggable frog prince! Grab your hooks, settle into your favorite crafting spot, and let’s dive into making this adorable frog creation!

Materials:
- DK Weight Yarn: approx. 100 grams green
- 3.5mm crochet hook
- You can also try using worsted weight yarn & a 4 or 4.5mm hook, but the plushie size will vary depending on your tension.
- 8-mm Black Safety Eyes
- Fiber Filling
- Yarn needle & stitch marker
Gauge:
Exact tension and gauge are not critical for this pattern. However, you can always adjust your hook size if need be. For example, if you crochet loosely and you find the amigurumi is looking holey, go down a hook size.
Notes:
- All body parts are crocheted separately and then sewn together according to the finishing instructions.
- All parts are made in continuous rounds. Do not join at the end of each round unless otherwise specified.
- Turning chain does not count as a stitch.
- Place a stitch marker at the end of each round and move it up as you go.
- When a number is placed after a stitch (i.e. sc 7) it means that you should single crochet in each of the next 7 stitches.
Measurements/Sizing:
8 to 9 inches from the top of the head to the tip of the toe
This is a pretty big crochet frog pattern, but if you want to make it even larger, you can use worsted or even bulky weight yarn! That will definitely get you an even bigger, fluffier frog (especially if you use Bernat Blanket yarn!)
