Stitches/Terms Used:
- FO = fasten off
- ch = chain
- sc = single crochet
- inc = increase (insert 2 sc in same st)
- dec = decrease (sc 2 sts together)
- hdc = half double crochet
- hdc-inc = insert 2 hdc in the same st
- FLO = front loops only
- BLO = back loops only
Materials:
- Bulky weight 5 chenille velvet yarn in desired colors (I used Posh Twist yarn)
- 5mm crochet hook (I use these)
- 6mm crochet hook (I use these)
- 12mm plastic safety eyes (I use these)
- Fiberfill stuffing
- Scissors
- Optional: yarn needle for weaving in the ends
Crochet Instructions
Part 1: Dumpling

Part 2: Basket
- Use the 6mm hook and brown yarn for all parts of the basket.

BASKET BOTTOM
R1: Ch 2 and insert 10 hdc in 2nd ch from hook. *Join with a sl st to the first hdc. (10)
Note: Alternatively, you can use the magic ring method by inserting a ch and 10 hdc in the MR. Then, tighten the ring and join with a sl st to the first hdc.
R2: Ch, hdc-inc around. *Join. (20)
R3: Ch, (hdc, hdc-inc) around. *Join. (30)
R4: Ch, hdc around in BLO. *Join. (30)
R5-R7: Ch, hdc around. *Join. (30)
FO with a tail and weave in the ends
BASKET TOP
R1: Ch 2 and insert 11 hdc in 2nd ch from hook. *Join with a sl st to the first hdc. (11)
